that when my coworker asks my opinion on her idea, it’s really her overly polite way of telling me “This is what’s going to happen, because I will whine and kick and scream and complain until it does.”
She doesn’t actually want feedback, she just wants to be told she’s right. Even if it’s an incredibly stupid idea.
“Sure, do what you want.” ( = my overly polite way of telling her “I wash my hands of it.”)
