After running up and back for Oak’s Parcel, I stand at Route 1 with 0:06 on the clock and a single Pokemon, a lvl 7 Bulbasaur (male) named Kale. He has a gentle nature.
I picked Bulbasaur, knowing a grass Pokemon will be a strong start against the first couple of gym leaders in gen 1.
First encounter on Route 1 is a lvl 3 Pidgey (female) whom I’ve captured and named Sebright. She has a quirky nature.
